Overview

Physicians, medical professionals and insurance carriers benefit from Jeffrey Schnaars’ open lines of communication and personal interest in each individual case, fostering comfortable, confident relationships that allow for zealous legal representation.

Before finding his home at Shaub, Ahmuty, Citrin & Spratt in 2017, Jeffrey spent time at a general liability firm and as an Assistant District Attorney for the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office in the Felony Trial Bureau. There he gained extensive litigation experience, working cases from inception through jury selection and trial verdict, trying over 20 cases.

During law school, Jeffrey interned for the United States District Court Justice Denis Hurley of the Eastern District of New York and at the United States Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of New York, adding to his extensive litigation experience. Jeffrey’s intimate knowledge of court proceedings drives his preparation of clients for depositions, his in-depth analysis of medical records and his creation of detailed defense strategies.

Jeffrey employs motion practice, diligently questions plaintiffs, defendants, and experts at depositions, and persuasively argues on behalf of the medical professionals he represents, garnering him numerous successful outcomes. He was granted multiple summary judgment motions on behalf of esteemed physicians and medical facilities, most notably in a case involving a claim for failure to diagnose and treat syphilis/neurosyphilis in a timely and proper matter, allegedly resulting in seizure activity and dementia in the patient.
