Overview

Erin Stalzer (Deacy-Stalzer) zealously advocates on behalf of all of the medical providers, groups and various institutions she is graciously and repeatedly entrusted to represent, proactively and tirelessly working towards each client’s strategic goals and desired outcome. She artfully employs motion practice, persuasively reasons in written and oral argument, aggressively attacks or defends at depositions, and diligently navigates each stage of litigation in anticipation of eventual trial or resolution by alternative means. Collectively, her tireless efforts, experience, knowledge, and skills combine to provide her client with an incredibly well-rounded defense.

Personable, approachable, and readily accessible, Erin instills confidence in her clients and their carriers with her pattern of proven sound advice, and victories obtained.

Erin credits her inimitable experiences- notably, studying abroad under Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, successfully handling matters involving required arbitration, mediation, subrogation and appellate work, and completing an internship in the felony Gun Part of the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office- with having broadened her views and interest in creatively approaching her cases, so as to formulate, implement and execute the very best defense realistically available to each of her clients. Her unique and multifaceted perspective was further broadened by her experience working at a prominent plaintiff’s personal injury law firm, while attending law school and having the distinct pleasure of serving as the elected Secretary within the Hofstra Law Women organization.

Erin’s meticulous approach to motion practice has repeatedly proven successful — notably, obtaining summary judgment dismissal in an untimely brought matter arising from the alleged failure to timely detect and diagnose colon cancer, wherein the rendered decision recognized and accepted the defendant’s argument that the Continuous Treatment Doctrine was inapplicable, as a matter of law. Said decision was recognized as a Decision of Interest in the New York Law Journal. Erin’s repeated victories in motion practice continue to earn her the recognition and respect of judges, colleagues and adversaries, alike.
