Marc Citrin Ends 2019 With A Defense Verdict

In December 2019 Marc Citrin, with the assistance of Adam Fischkelta, obtained a defense verdict in New York County in a case involving claims that negligent perforation of the bladder during removal of a malignant bladder tumor resulted in postoperative infection. It was further alleged this caused an inability to complete immunotherapy treatment,  the need for seven additional surgeries to remove recurrent tumors, and ultimately death.  Plaintiff’s counsel had asked the jury to award $3 million for the deceased’s pain and suffering, and a defendant’s verdict was issued after a 3 week trial.
