Unanimous Defense Verdict for Urologist in Nassau County
Shaub, Ahmuty, Citrin & Spratt, LLP partners Gerard Cushing and Danielle Chin obtained a unanimous defense verdict on behalf of a urologist in a medical malpractice trial involving allegations related to the administration of bladder Botox treatment.
The plaintiff alleged that the physician improperly administered Botox without first ruling out a bladder outlet obstruction, administered an excessive dosage, and failed to obtain appropriate informed consent prior to the procedure. The defense maintained that the physician’s care and treatment were appropriate and consistent with accepted standards of care.
After a half hour of deliberation, the jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of the defense on all claims.
The case was tried in the Supreme Court, Nassau County.
