Congratulations to trial partner Craig Bienstock on his unanimous defense verdict in the Bronx County Supreme Court following a 6-week trial

This was a complicated and complex case from two perspectives.  This case involved claims of permanent neurological injuries to a newborn, which required analysis of the case in multiple areas of medicine.  However, this was also a legally complicated matter in that our clients were brought into the case, along with St. Barnabas Hospital, as third-party defendants by the original defendant, Jacobi Medical Center.  This had the effect of putting before the jury a decision as to whether fault laid with our physicians or the physicians at Jacobi Medical Center.  Therefore, Craig was required to address not only the injuries and claims of liability asserted by the plaintiff, but also the accusations made by counsel for Jacobi Medical Center against our doctors.  These intricate medical-legal waters were navigated flawlessly by Craig, to the point where the jury unanimously found that the care and treatment provided by our clients was entirely appropriate at all times.  The jury also rendered a verdict solely against Jacobi Medical Center, and awarded the plaintiff $80 million-dollars.  Please join us in applauding Craig in this achievement.
