A Hero in Our Midst

Kudos to our associate Michael Pitre who played a crucial role in the dramatic rescue of a woman trapped in a burning car this past Sunday. While driving Mike noticed the accident and quickly intervened by pulling over his truck and putting on its hazard lights to block traffic. He joined two other good Samaritans in pulling the woman to safety just seconds before the car was completely engulfed in flames. Mike, who has first aid training, assessed the woman’s severe leg injury and used a belt offered by another rescuer as a tourniquet to control the bleeding. His swift actions and medical knowledge were instrumental in stabilizing the woman until emergency services arrived. Typically, Mike emphasized the collaborative effort of all involved, highlighting the presence of good people willing to help in critical moments. We could not be prouder of Mike!
