Overview

Physicians, medical institutions, and insurance carriers depend on Michael La Pinta to skillfully guide them through complex litigation and ardently advocate on their behalf. Meticulous and dedicated, Michael’s skilled analysis of complex medical records and pertinent legal issues allow him to distill the facts of each case into compelling and individualized defenses for each client he represents.

Michael’s zealous advocacy skills are attributed to his diverse legal experience. Prior to joining Shaub, Ahmuty, Citrin & Spratt, LLP as a summer associate in 2020 and later as a full-time litigation associate in 2021, Michael interned at a prominent criminal defense firm while pursuing his Bachelor’s degree. While later attending law school full time, Michael interned pro bono at the Federal Defenders of New York, a legal aid society, and with a Federal Magistrate Judge in the Eastern District of New York.

During law school, Michael was honored to hold the positions of Senior Associate Editor of the Hofstra Law Review and President of the Hofstra Trial Advocacy Association where he honed his skills as a courtroom advocate by competing in numerous interscholastic mock trial competitions.
