Overview

Kevin Deng brings a strong litigation background to his practice, drawing on experience in complex civil matters and criminal prosecution to develop strategic, evidence-driven approaches to dispute resolution.

Before joining Shaub, Ahmuty, Citrin & Spratt, LLP, Kevin served as an associate attorney at a New York litigation firm. There, he worked on complex civil cases involving institutional liability and high-stakes factual disputes. Kevin managed matters from investigation through trial preparation. He conducted numerous depositions of corporate representatives and institutional witnesses. Kevin also developed litigation strategies focused on credibility assessment and evidentiary analysis. In one case, he served as second chair in a medical malpractice jury trial that resulted in a favorable verdict.

Earlier, Kevin was an Assistant District Attorney with the Queens District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted a high-volume caseload of misdemeanor and felony matters. He conducted extensive fact investigations, interviewed victims and witnesses, prepared law enforcement and medical professionals for testimony, and handled significant courtroom responsibilities, including motion practice, witness examinations, and trial preparation. During his tenure, Kevin presented felony cases to the grand jury and drafted legal motions addressing complex procedural and evidentiary issues.

Kevin began his legal career as a Summer Law Intern at the Queens District Attorney’s Office, assisting prosecutors with felony case preparation, reviewing discovery materials, and supporting trial and hearing preparation.

Throughout his career, Kevin has developed strong skills in legal research, witness preparation, deposition strategy, and courtroom advocacy. He is committed to providing thoughtful, strategic guidance while effectively championing his clients throughout every stage of the litigation process.
