Overview

Jon Wilken brings a strong foundation in litigation, client advocacy, and legal research to the firm, with particular experience in medical malpractice defense, foreclosure assistance, and youth advocacy. His diverse background, which combines science, philosophy, and law, enables him to approach complex legal issues with analytical precision and thoughtful strategy.  

Before joining Shaub, Ahmuty, Citrin & Spratt LLP as a law clerk, Jon gained valuable experience as a summer intern at the firm, where he worked on medical malpractice matters, drafting motions for dismissal and summary judgment, analyzing case documents, and preparing expert witnesses for trial. He also served as a legal extern at the Youth Advocacy Clinic at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he represented immigrant minors in family and immigration court, prepared motions and applications, and advocated for clients seeking asylum.  

Jon has further contributed to the legal community through his pro bono work with the Nassau County Bar Association’s Mortgage Foreclosure Assistance Project, helping clients in foreclosure proceedings connect with long-term legal resources. Additionally, he served as a research assistant at Hofstra Law, supporting scholarly work in the areas of corporate law and business organizations.  

Jon’s solid work ethic, commitment to client service, and ability to navigate complex legal matters make him a valuable asset to the firm. He delivers thoughtful, detail-oriented support to both clients and colleagues as he builds his legal career in healthcare defense.
