Overview

Nicole S. Mancuso brings a unique blend of litigation experience, writing expertise, and hands-on legal training to SACS, where she supports the firm’s healthcare defense practice. Having worked at the firm in multiple capacities since 2018, including as a legal secretary, legal intern, and now law clerk, Nicole has a deep understanding of case strategy, client service, and the day-to-day demands of complex litigation.

During law school, Nicole gained extensive experience drafting motions, conducting legal and medical research, analyzing deposition and trial transcripts, preparing client reports, and assisting with trial preparation. She regularly shadowed attorneys during depositions, client meetings, and expert consultations, strengthening her ability to evaluate claims and support litigation teams effectively.

Nicole also expanded her advocacy skills through clinical and academic roles. As a student intern in Hofstra Law’s Youth Advocacy Clinic, she represented undocumented minors seeking legal status, drafting motions and affidavits, preparing filings, and guiding clients through necessary services. Nicole also conducted research on tort law and helped develop seminars, blog content, and educational programming for students as a fellow with the Perry Weitz Mass Tort Institute.

While she was a judicial intern for the Honorable R. Bruce Cozzens, Jr., in the Nassau County Supreme Court, Nicole drafted jury instructions and judicial opinions, observed trials across multiple practice areas, and gained insight into judicial decision-making.

Nicole draws on her multifaceted background to support clients at all stages of litigation, offering thoughtful analysis, strong written advocacy, and a commitment to clear, consistent communication.
