Elizabeth Lanza brings significant courtroom experience and a deep commitment to client advocacy to her healthcare litigation practice at Shaub, Ahmuty, Citrin & Spratt, LLP. Drawing on her civil and criminal litigation experience, Elizabeth skillfully analyzes discovery, prepares persuasive motions and briefs, and advocates effectively on behalf of her clients in court.
Before joining SACS, Elizabeth was an associate at a boutique law firm, where she independently handled all stages of litigation and regularly represented clients in complex education and disability law matters, including FAPE claims, tuition reimbursement, and Section 504 actions. In that role, she drafted and argued dispositive motions, negotiated favorable settlements, and maintained ongoing communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
Elizabeth began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, where she investigated and tried felony and misdemeanor cases, examined expert witnesses, and presented more than 50 cases to the Grand Jury. During her tenure, she successfully first-chaired multiple trials to verdict, honing courtroom skills that continue to serve her clients today.
Elizabeth leverages her litigation background in her current practice, guiding medical providers and institutions through all stages of litigation and collaborating closely with each client to achieve favorable outcomes. She is known for her meticulous case preparation, strong oral advocacy, and clear, consistent communication.
