Unanimous Verdict in Complex Medical Malpractice Case
Congratulations to Shaub Ahmuty Citrin & Spratt LLP partners Gerard Cushing and Danielle Chin, who have secured a unanimous defense in a medical malpractice trial held in the Supreme Court, Nassau County.
The case involved allegations of negligence against an OB/GYN physician. The plaintiff alleged that the defendant failed to send her for appropriate testing and referrals, resulting in a delay in the diagnosis of breast cancer. The defense demonstrated that the care rendered to the plaintiff was appropriate and within the standard of care. Further, the defense was able to establish that there was no injury from a causation standpoint.
The verdict represents a notable milestone for both attorneys, each of whom has obtained three defense verdicts in the past three months.
